Construction begins this Summer on HomeGoods, a home furnishings store coming to Portage next to Earth Fare.

Discount home furniture and decor are the stock and trade of HomeGoods, opening on Westenedge Ave. in Portage in 2018. MLive reports construciton will begin on the 19,000 square foot retail space this Summer.

Lamps, pillows and picture frames are the best things to shop for at HomeGoods, according to Thrifty Decor Chick.

HomeGoods, owned by the same company that runs TJ Maxx, offers discount furniture, rugs, wall decor, bedding, bath, kitchen essentials, storage, mirrors, lighting, outdoor and more. The Portage store will be HomeGoods' 7th in Michigan, with Indiana locations in Mishawaka and Valparaiso.
