According to News Nation, the 'Chroming' challenge has gone viral and teens are trying the trend at a disturbing rate. “Chroming” involves inhaling dangerous chemicals such as nail polish remover, hairspray, spray paint, and other substances for a temporary high similar to drinking alcohol. The trend has now turned deadly and left teens fighting for their lives with long-term consequences.

Side effects of chroming include slurred speech, dizziness, hallucinations, euphoria, nausea, vomiting, and disorientation. Chroming can lead to heart attack, seizures, suffocation, coma, choking, or fatal injury and can permanently damage the brain, heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys.

According to the New York Post, a 13-year-old girl from Australia died after inhaling fumes from an aerosol deodorant can while another 'chroming challenge' left a 12-year-old boy fighting for his life in the hospital.
