Lions QB Matthew Stafford Nominated For Rooney Sportsmanship Award
Lions Quarterback, Matthew Stafford has been nominated for 2019 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award. Stafford is among the nominees from each NFL team.
According to the NFL, Stafford is the Lions nominee for the 2019 award. The Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award recognizes players in the league who exemplify sportsmanship on the field.
Other nominees from the NFC North include, Bears DB Kyle Fuller, Packers CB Tramon Williams and Vikings DE Danielle Hunter.
Past winners have included Drew Brees, Charles Woodson and Larry Fitzgerald.
A group of former players will select eight finalists. The eight finalists will be voted on by NFL players as part of the Pro Bowl ballot.
The winner is set to be announced during the NFL Honors on Saturday, February 1st on Fox.
Good luck to Matthew and the rest of the nominees. Stafford is set to miss his second game with the Lions as they will play the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
