MLive reports that the Michigan Supreme Court ruled today police have the right to pull your over if anything is obstructing the officer's view of your license plate.

The court's ruling was unanimous, and agrees with the Michigan Vehicle Code that says your license plate has to be visible without obstruction.

Before the ruling, attorneys for both side agreed the case would have significant ramifications as to police procedure vs.whether the current law factored into profiling.
