Major League Baseball has released a list of the Best Players of the Decade.  The list features many of the games greats including Miguel Cabrera.

According to Major League Baseball,  Tigers current DH Miguel Cabrera is on the first team list of the best to play first base this past decade.

He actually beat out Joey Votto from the Reds by a single vote.   He was selected as the best with his back to back MVP awards in 2012 and 2013.   Cabrera also won the Triple Crown in 2012 the first since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967.

Cabrera is the only current Tigers player on the list but it also features Justin Verlander and Max Schezer as first team starting pitchers. Verlander is now with the Astros and Scherzer with the World Series Champion Nationals.  David Price, who is now with Boston, was voted as a second team pitcher.

The list was voted on by 73 experts of MLB Network analysts and MLB dot com reporters, analysts and editors.
