A home invasion suspect could be facing charges of animal cruelty after the homeowner captured home security video footage of the suspect repeatedly kicking the homeowner's small dog.

A 33-year-old Parchment woman remains behind bars in Kalamazoo awaiting arraignment on a charge of 1st Degree Home Invasion as well as a charge from a previous non-related incident from July.

In the now widely circulated video, the suspect is seen repeatedly kicking the homeowner's dog and moving closer to the dog to kick it again as the dog tries to move away from the her. The Kalamazoo Township Police Department is seeking additional charges of animal cruelty, which is currently under review by the Kalamazoo County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.

After repeatedly kicking the family's dog, the suspect then allegedly went into the home and assaulted someone inside.
