You could own this beautiful, enchanting island nestled just off the shore of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Dollar Island, which is located in Mackinac County, is officially on the market.

The price? $850,000.

Dollar Island got its name in 1911 when the government put it up for sale. It sold for $1.

John Griffin is a realtor with Coldwell Banker Schmidt in Cedarville. He tells TV 7 & 4 that the island catches just about everyone's eye because the home on the island looks like a castle.

"It's an icon of the community because it sits right in the center of the main channel that connects the two communities of Hessel and Cedarville," he says.

The home touts plenty of unique amenities. There's a kissing booth, a bathroom that's also a sauna, a hatch door that leads right out to the hot tub, and porthole windows in every room. But the home's most unique feature is a tree that grows right through the closet in the master bedroom.

Ken and Janet Kloster have owned the island for 40 years and say it has been an amazing time.

"I think the mystique of owning an island is something you have to feel once you are there," says John.
