Rick Moersch's career has come full circle. Moersch started his wine making career at Tabor Hill Winery in 1979. Thirty-eight years later, he's bought the place. The Moersch family's Entente Spirits this week purchased Tabor Hill Winery, Michigan's 4th largest winery, to double Entente's annual wine production.

Rick was hired by Tabor Hill’s founder Len Olson in 1979 to run their wine lab and it was during this time that a passion for farming and winemaking developed and the seeds for the larger dream of opening his own winery were planted. Rick was promoted to head winemaker in 1981 and in the same year he and wife Sherrie purchased a 28-acre farm right next door, planting, growing and selling grapes to Tabor Hill. In 1985 Rick added the title of GM overseeing all winemaking, sales and restaurant operations and during his tenure, Tabor Hill saw unprecedented growth. - Press release

In 1992, the Moerschs started Heart of the Vineyard wine company, which became Round Barn Winery. And since, they've added a brewery and more.
