Van Buren County Sheriff Says People Claiming To Be IRS Agents Is A Scam

The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office is warning people of a scam, primarily via telephone calls.

"The Van Buren County 911 Central  Dispatch Center has been receiving several calls on Monday morning from concerned citizens regarding emails and telephone calls they have been receiving from persons claiming to be IRS agents. This is a SCAM."

The Sheriff's Office also sent a link on the IRS website regarding these types of scams.
