The city of Battle Creek has released a statement after discovering Battle Creek's Wastewater Treatment Plant spilled 26,600 gallons of partially treated sludge and raw sludge into the Kalamazoo River around 12 O'clock Monday morning.

Back in 1998 an entrepreneur wanted to extract water from Lake Superior and ship it to Asia via tanker ships.  Apparently the Ontario Ministry of the Environment approved that plan before people found out about it, and the people were not happy.
