Macy Navarro is currently receiving treatment for a rare disease as medial bills pile up.

She was diagnosed in July, 2020 with Gestational Trophoblastic Disease (GTD).  Hopkins Medicine says that GTD is rare as it only affects one in every 1,000 pregnant women in the United States.

Navarro started her first round of chemotherapy on Monday, August 17th.  Macy explains how rough the chemotherapy has been on her GoFundMe page,

Chemotherapy has made me very sick. I'm in severe pain, have constant fatigue, consistent nausea, and I'm unable to work. I can't drive. My husband took all of his vacation time at work to be at my side during my first week of chemo. He now has to go back to work because we cannot afford him to be off of work. Ideally, he would take a leave of absence to care for me.

Macy's heartbreaking story began when she found out her pregnancy was a "molar pregnancy" and she lost the baby.  If that wasn't heartbreaking enough, she was then hit with the GTD diagnosis.

Macy, her husband and 4-year-old daughter need our help.  They have a GoFundMe page set up to help pay their medical bills, medication and other living expenses since she can not work during treatment.  If you'd like to help please share this story and click here to donate.

Macy, we are thinking about your and are sending love to you and your family.
