Major League Baseball released the schedule for next season, and the Tigers will start at home on March 29th against the Pittsburgh Pirates.  It’ll be the earliest game ever played at Comerica Park, as the team enters its 19th season there.

Highlights of the Tigers’ 118th season schedule:

  • The Cubs visit Comerica Park, August 21-22
  • The Tigers play the Cubs at Wrigley Field, July 3-4
  • The St. Louis Cardinals visit Comerica Park, September 7-9
  • The Tigers end the season in Milwaukee, September 28-30.
  • Mother’s Day at Comerica Park vs. Seattle, May 13
  • Memorial Day at Comerica vs. the Angels, May 28

The September meeting with the Cardinals will be the 1968 World Series Championship 50th Anniversary Weekend.  Other promotions and theme nights include:

  • Pink out the Park vs. Seattle, May 13
  • Negro Leagues Weekend vs. Cleveland, June 8-10
  • Fiesta Tigres! Vs. Minnesota, August 11
