The Tigers started a 7 game West Coast trip with a 6-2 loss in Seattle on Monday night.

The Tigers scored in the third and fifth, but saw that lead evaporate in the fifth, when Anibal Sanchez gave up a two-run homer to Guillermo Heredia.

Sanchez, back up after four starts in Toledo pitched well.  He went five innings, giving up two runs on five hits.  He struck out five and walked three.

Seattle had three 2-run homers, a pair of them off the bat of Mike Zunino.

Zunino's eighth homer since being recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on May 23 gave Seattle the lead.  It came off reliever Alex Wilson, who takes the loss and falls to 1-4.

The Tigers managed just five hits on the night and have lost three straight and nine of their last 13.

They are in fourth place in the Central Division, 5 ½ games behind first place Cleveland, and just a half game in front of last place Chicago.  Jordan Zimmerman will start for the Tigers on Tuesday night in Seattle.  Broadcast time is 9:45 on 95.3 WBCK.
