Travel Back In Time With ‘Dinosaur Gardens’ Right Here In Michigan
Ossineke, Michigan, just outside of Alpena, has a Jurassic Park - minus the animatronic dinosaurs run amok, of course.
'Dinosaur Gardens' is a prehistoric zoo that hosts over 25 creatures that are true to size. The fist Dinosaur was built in 1935 and the park was completed in 1967. The park is on 40 acres and is a 1/2 mile walk around the park. If needed, a ride can be arranged for guests.
The park has a cedar swamp, putt putt golf, a snack bar and picnic areas for guests. The park is open every day from 9 am to 8 pm, and a prefect place for families to enjoy a unique experience. According to the park's website,
"We want you to be able to have the best experience you can while visiting Dinosaur Gardens. This is why we have absolutely NO barriers. Go ahead and get up close and personal with our life size dinosaur sculptures."
I checked out Trip Adviser, and the reviews were good!
RachaelNBrett said "very cool", MsL said "kids loved it", and SJAA said, "the dinosaurs are very well maintained". Those are great comments and makes this a great destination for a family trip!
