If you have ever wanted to buy a lighthouse then you don't have to wait too much longer as three are going up for auction. According to WILX, three historic Great Lakes lighthouses owned by the federal government are going on the auction block for people to buy. Michigan has hundreds of lighthouses all over the lower and upper peninsulas and these three are located in all different spots around the state.

The three that are going up for auction include Lake Huron's Poe Reef lighthouse, Ontonagon Breakwater lighthouse, and Superior Entry lighthouse. The Poe Reef is located near Cheboygan and helps ships through a tough part. While the Ontonagon lighthouse is located in the western part of the U.P. on the Ontonagon River from Lake Superior. Finally the Superior lighthouse is on a sandbar between Superior, Wisconsin, and Duluth, Minnesota

You can check out the lighthouses and make a bid if you would like; most starting bids are over $1,000.
