The Tigers took 30 more players in baseball’s three-day draft, including 2014 Lakeview High School Graduate Jake Bivens.

Bivens was the 27th selection by the Tigers.   Bivens, an infielder, just finished his junior year at Michigan, where he’s batting .318 over three seasons with the Wolverines. Bivens was an All-Big Ten third team selection in 2016.   Also drafted was Bivens’ teammate, left handed pitcher Grant Reuss.  The Tigers drafted 40 players overall.  21 of those picks were pitchers. Michigan had a school record 11 players drafted by Major League teams.
