Long Time Area Restaurant Serves Last Meals

Saturday marked the final day of business for a restaurant that served the Kalamazoo area for over 40 years. On June 9^th, owner Peter Cotter announced that The Great Lakes Shipping Co. would close. Cotter said it had been an honor and privilege to serve the area for the past 44 years. For those hoping to get unique mementos, such as furniture, fixtures and artwork, a two day sale is scheduled for July 11^th and 12^th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
