UPDATE (March 12th - 2:25 pm) - The Michigan High School Athletic Association has suspended all winter sports tournaments immediately and indefinitely. An update on the remainder of the postseason will be determined later today. MHSAA Executive Director Mark Uyl made this announcement.

In a statement released by the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) on Thursday morning, the organization announced new attendance restrictions for most of the remainder of the winter sports season.  This is in light of the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Among the new restrictions, in effect starting on Thursday:

Girls Basketball Regional Finals (set for Thursday) - Only parents, legal guardians, and necessary school administrators can be in attendance, as well as game night personnel.

Boys District Basketball Finals (set for Friday) - Parents, legal guardians, and necessary school administrators can attend, along with game night personnel.

Credentialed and approved media can attend these games to cover them (either radio, TV, internet, and print media).
