The Pennfield Panthers will honor military members with special patriotic game day jerseys- but, they're doing even more than that.

The NFL national anthem controversy has gotten more and more attention and has even filtered down to the high school football level. Friday, October 20, Pennfield Football plans a military appreciation night, wearing their 'Salute to Service' jerseys for a game against Olivet.

Here's the part that makes this demonstration so special: not only do veterans and active duty military members get in for free, each varsity football player and cheerleader will choose a military guest to stand with them during the flag ceremony and national anthem.

Red, white and blue goosebumps.
