Hudsonville Attorney Katherine Henry says the questionable provisions aren’t necessarily hidden in the wording of the legislation. She says they are clearly stated. Henry says if a company gets a court order, the legislation allows the company to require employees to submit to microchipping for just about any reason the company thinks is appropriate.

Rep. Isaac Robinson says that his bill was inspired by research which shows that facial recognition technology can misidentify black people, leading to an “unacceptable bias”.
The bill says that if a school has more than 5 percent of students who are unvaccinated, they would need to put up a large sign saying as such at their entrances.
The bills are sponsored by Republican Representatives Beau LaFave and Pamela Hornberger, and co-sponsors include local Emmett Township Representative Matt Hall.
House Bills 6230, 6231, and 6232 would repeal parts of Michigan’s law that allow “child placing agencies” to refuse services on the basis of their “sincerely held religious beliefs”, and parts of the law that prevent the state of Michigan from taking action against such refusal.
