The personal finance website WalletHub conducted a study to determine which towns in America are the best beach towns in the country and Traverse City was ranked #1. In fact this is the second year in a row that Traverse City took the top spot.
To determine which towns were the best beach towns to live in WalletHub compared 192 cities across the country to six key dimensions:
- 1) Affordability
- 2) Weather
- 3) Safety
- 4) Economy
- 5) Education & Health
- 6) Quality of Life, splitting the sample into ocean towns and lake towns.
Traverse City was not the only town in Michigan to make their list, the following Michigan towns also made it:
- Holland came in at #4
- Alpena came in at #18
- Port Huron came in at #31
So pack up the car this summer and save some gas money by enjoy the above ranked Michigan beach towns.
