I  do not know if this is a good idea or not, but it appears that students at Ohio State University think it is.

According to a report from Cleveland 19, a CBS affiliate, there is a hot bacon vending machine which dispenses bacon bits and strips.  The vending machine is sponsored by the Ohio Pork Council with bacon donated by Sugardale Foods, Hormel Foods, and Smithfield Foods.

The bacon cost $1 and we are told all proceeds go to Ohio State’s meat science school.

We’re bringing the bacon to Ohio State - College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences this week so that the Buckeyes can power through finals season!

This is such a big hit on campus that students from the meat science program are restocking the vending machine four to five times a day.

Maybe that is where the Ohio State University football players received their extra energy to unfortunately crush Michigan in football.
