Must be a slow time in the accounting business.

Former Western Michigan Bronco goalie Scott Foster, who became a media sensation last Spring, when he went from being a beer-league goalie and into a game for the Chicago Blackhawks, was back with the team Thursday morning.

Thankfully, Hawk goalies Corey Crawford and Cam Ward are healthy, but the team needs a third goalie for practice purposes, and that's Foster. It also potentially puts Foster back into the same role that thrust him into the national spotlight on March 29th.
Through a series of unlikely circumstances, Foster came in as the emergency goalie, stopped seven shots and cemented at 6-2 victory over Winnipeg.

This morning, tonight's starter Crawford practiced for about 30 minutes, and then Foster took his place opposite Ward.

As reported in the Chicago Tribune, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneviille said “He likes the idea. It beats the beer league.”
