Hilariously Trumpish-Sounding ‘Greatest’ Letter to the Editor Is Oh-So Real
This hilarious and bombastic letter to the editor very well could've been written by the most polarizing man in America.
A man from Hillsborough, Fla. named Terry Vaught penned a very funny and very sarcastic letter that was printed by the Tampa Bay Times that, well, just see for yourself:
This kind of boastful and self-promotional language sounds a little bit like a certain presidential candidate who has a reputation for building himself up higher than any of his skyscrapers (it's Donald Trump, for those of you who haven't caught on yet).
The Times interviewed Vaught (wow -- has anyone ever been interviewed for writing a letter to the editor?) who hardly denied he was inspired by Trump. "I think that's obvious, but I'm disappointed that part of it was edited," he said. "I also wrote, 'My letters are so great I'm going to build a wall and put my letters on them. Then I'll get the other letter writers to pay for building the wall.'"
While the language sounds like vintage Trump, we're pretty sure he would never write a letter to a newspaper because print is a dead business and he only deals with things thayt are fantastic.
Vaught also said his missive should be selected as August's Letter of the Month for August, even though the month is far from over. "Of course it should have been, what do you think? I'm the best letter writer of them all."
