17 Snakes That Are Found in Michigan
Recently in the news, there was a story about a couple in Michigan who were fishing & kayaking near Brooklyn and came across Michigan's only poisonous snake: a Massasauga Rattlesnake (they took pictures and then let it go - it's against the law to kill these protected snakes).
And that made me wonder: just what other snakes are there in Michigan? Are there others to be careful of or protect?
There are 17 snakes you can find in Michigan: some easy to find, some not-so-easy. They are:
