Now an American company, Nike is recalling one of their sneakers because it has an American flag-theme.  According to the Wall Street Journal they are pulling it because former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, now famous anti-American, complained that it harkened back to the slave era

Really, you have got to be kidding me!

According to a statement by Nike they said:

Nike has chosen not to release the Air Max 1 Quick Strike Fourth of July as it featured an old version of the American flag

Nike had already delivered their Air Max 1 USA sneakers to stores and then Colin Kaepernick, who is a paid Nike endorser, complained about them.  He did not like that they had a Revolutionary War-era version of the flag stitched on the back of the shoe.

Interesting because Kaepernick is paid by Nike not Nike paid by him.

The flag, depicted on the sneakers was the one designed by Betsy Ross, which had 13 stars in a circle with 13 red and white stripes to represent the original colonies. That version of the flag, according to the Smithsonian, was used in the United States from 1777 to 1795.

I also find it interesting that a black man can become a multi-millionaire in this country playing a game and still believe it is a racist’s country.

What a great country we have.  God Bless America!
