WILX.com reports that Subaru is issuing a recall on a number of its 2019 models, due to the potential of engine stalling.

The recall affects 2019 Crosstrek, Forester, and Ascent models.

Subaru is recalling the vehicles due to a possible flaw with a valve that may fail, break apart, send fragments into the engine, and cause the engine to stall. If there is an unexpected loss of power while driving, crash and injury risks increase.

The automaker will notify owners of affected models, and direct them to a dealership to replace the valve for no charge.
