The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says their officers were called to the 500 block of Elizabeth St. in the Northside neighborhood just after 11:30pm Monday, in reports of a person being shot.

On Tuesday, 19-year-old Drequan Scott waived his preliminary examination on charges of open murder and using a gun in the commission of a crime, and the judge ordered him to trial.
Deputies were called to the Leroy Township home to see the man physically assault a woman; he then barricaded himself inside the house and said he was armed.
