It was a beautiful evening in the Windy City for baseball and the Tigers and White Sox were neck-to-neck for most of the evening, but the White Sox pulled-off a win in the 9th, beating Detroit 3-2.

The White Sox were first to score, off from Verlander, in the 1st inning. It wasn’t until the 5th that the Tigers got on the board with Martinez and Romine scoring on a single to left-center by Iglesias, making it a 2-1 game in Detroit’s favor.

Chicago evened the score in the 6th with a hit off from Verlander and the game remained tied until the 9th, when Sanchez singled to right and Anderson scored, putting the White Sox in the lead, 3-2.

The two teams face each other again Saturday evening at 6:45 PM on 95.3 WBCK.
