By now we all heard the news that a city in Allen park, Michigan is gonna be re-naming one of their streets after Bob Seger. The original plan was to do it in his childhood town of Ann Arbor, but that didn't pan out. That's cool for everybody on the East side of the state and all, but what about Kalamazoo?

Kalamazoo and Western Michigan have been the stomping grounds to some pretty high profile people and I think it's time we start a campaign to name a street name after someone who was a big part of our city. Here are some people we can choose from and then vote below so we can get this rolling.

Derek Jeter: Former Pro Baseball Legend
Luther Vandross: The 8-time Grammy Award winner went to WMU
Bruce Campbell: Star of "Evil Dead" & "Burn Notice" attended WMU
Terry Crews: Born in Flint in 1968, the actor played football at WMU
Dave Dombrowski: President of Baseball Operations for the Boston Red Sox is a 1978 Western Michigan graduate.
Stephen Lynch: Musical Comedian and graduated from WMU in 1993.
Wayne Static: Lead vocalist/guitarist for Static-X. The WMU alumni died in 2014 at 48.
Danny Dekeyser: He played hockey at WMU from 2010 - 2013. Now a Red Wing.
Matt Giraud: Giraud finished 5th on the 8th season of "American Idol." A graduate of WMU.

So, who should we name a street after?
