2 Million Pounds of Chicken Being Recalled

I would have to say that my wife and I eat chicken at least four times a week. We both really like chicken and we come up with different recipes every week just to change it up once in awhile.

According to USA Today, more than 2 million pounds of chicken are being recalled due to contamination, specifically metal.

The USDA has urged consumers to dispose of these products and retailers to throw away their frozen supplies, but what could happen if someone eats chicken contaminated with metal?

An emergency physician said if they're small pieces, you should be fine.

However, metal pieces in food can be dangerous if they're sharp enough, no matter how small the size.

Other possible dangers mentioned were metal toxicity. If the contaminate contained harmful metals such as lead, or injury to the mouth, like cracking or chipping a tooth.

According to the recent recall notice, the contaminated chicken was produced between Oct. 21 and Nov. 4 and shipped to retailers in several states. If you would like to know which states, please click on the above link.
