It's a fire in Canada that is making our skies so pretty

Have you noticed the amazing sunrises and sunsets that have been taking over the Michigan horizon lately? It's not Mother Nature making it happen but something happening in Canada. Smoke from Canadian wildfires could be reasons for the stunning views recently in Michigan, according to the Detroit Free Press. A number of fires were reported late last week in Alberta, British Columbia and northern Ontario and the smoke they're producing is creating those incredible orange skies we have seen.

Alex Manion, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in White Lake, Michigan told the paper that...

The smoke is visible on satellite imagery and making the sky hazy. Sunlight reflecting off smoke particles is what paints the sky orange.

If you are wondering what kind of damage the smoke could do, you have nothing to worry about as it will not harm our air quality index.

So get out there and in enjoy that sunrise!
