It’s Not Like Mother’s Day, But There Are Some Dad’s Day Specials

Trying to not make this sound like a pity piece, but the fact is, Mother's Day is a much better holiday for Mom. Dad, well, get him a card and tie or screwdriver and that's get you off the hook for another.

I ran across a story in USA Today about Father's Day specials, and while they have a fairly populated list, very few of those national businesses are here in Southwest Michigan.

But here's a few that might be fun and/or filling, but be forewarned, most of these are sales promotions, intended to get you in the door to buy something.

Firehouse Subs has a deal with a coupon for a free medium sub when you buy a full-priced medium or large sub, plus chips and a drink, Here's the coupon link.

Jet's Pizza has a money off deal with the promo code "DAD" That gets you a Meaty pizza for $7.99.

Penn Station has a coupon for Sunday to get a free six-inch with the purchase of any sub of equal or greater value.

A Google search didn't really yield any deals. The usual ideas, if you're stuck for something to do with dear 'ol dad, (zoo, museum, brew pup). If dad likes golf, the US Open is this weekend, and it's in California, so Dad can put his feet up on Sunday evening and check that out. Ahhh, peace and quiet.
