MICHIGAN NO-TOWN: Duff, in Sanilac County
Duff, Michigan…no, it wasn’t named after Homer Simpson’s favorite beer.
There’s not much known about this lost Michigan Thumb town, aside from it was founded in 1885 along Duff Creek in Marlette Township, Sanilac County.

Duff was created mainly to be the Official Home of the Second Presbyterians, of which the church still stands. No stores, no stations, no nuttin’ but the church and a few scattered homes.
Want to visit Duff? You can find what’s left of it at the intersection of Wood Rd and Frenchline Rd out in the Sanilac County countryside.
